During my semester abroad in Florence, we had a project that had to be inspired by an artist. This collection is based on a Japanese performance artist, who goes by Sachiko Abe. She thinly cuts paper, creating sculptures out of the pile to distract from her mental health. I wanted the designs to emulate shredded paper. At the end of the semester, my garment was a part of the Florence Student Showcase. This garment has also walked the Kent State 2025 Annual Fashion Show.
